To safeguard our children we do everything possible by following the Department of Education statutory guidance, Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2023.  This is to help us prevent people who pose a risk of harm from working with children in our school. We adhere to Safer Recruitment and Selection guidelines whereby we incorporate measures into our recruitment and selection procedures that help to deter, reject or identify people who may pose a risk to children or who are otherwise unsuitable to work with them.

All staff play a part in keeping children safe and undertake annual safeguarding training.

At Larches High School, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children as our highest priority. We expect everyone to adhere to the HM Government – Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 guidance.
